The Weather

I’ve been in Chicago all week and have seen how the weather has changed from cold temperatures and freezing wind to blue skies and sunny days. It reminds me of how teaching is similar to the weather: some days are sunny and bordering on warm, and some days feel like a storm is brewing and you just have to power through until you get to other other side. A lifetime of teaching has taught me that nothing, good or bad, lasts too long in schools. I only wish the good stuff stayed with us a bit longer and the bad stuff would vanish into thin air. Science of Reading: I’m looking at you.
