About Me

I am a teacher who continuously strives to improve her practice. Therefore, I am always becoming a teacher.
I blog because I want to connect with others and get feedback on what I post; I learn more this way. That’s why my blog is called “elisa musing out loud”. My posts reveal my current thinking on a variety of educational issues and classroom topics. By blogging I make them public. I invite visitors to push back, affirm, question and to otherwise engage with me as I think through typical, and not-so-typical, school and teaching scenarios.
Blogging exposes me to the world and allows me to engage in conversations with others. This makes me accountable to my ideas and allows me to revise them through reflection and comments from others. Therefore, I am interested in connecting with educators at all levels – teachers, administrators, parents, students, as well as interested community members.
