I spent most of yesterday and today reading.

Yesterday I started reading Where I Belong (a YA novel) and finished it today.
Not being able to put down a book because it was that good felt like coming home.
I haven’t felt that way in a long time.
I used to know that feeling well, but not lately.
It reminded me of my students when they said that one of the things that’s going well in school is reading workshop because they can’t stop reading.
And, I finished Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell yesterday. Still reading
In addition to continuing to read Homeland Elegies and Indians on Vacation, next up is:

Now, I’m going to get dressed (yeah, I’ve been in my PJ’s all day) to go watch Batman with my son.
I hope everyone has a great week.

Love to meet another voracious reader! Love to hear your students are having readers’ workshop! Love books! I am reading Small Pleasures this weekend and can’t put it down.

What a dream! A day of reading! I’ve got a couple of these planned for my Easter vacation. I hope it is as successful as yours.

That sounds like a wonderful weekend! I hope you are able to hang on to that feeling “of coming home” when you read.

This sounds like perfection. You’re a nicer mom than me, to go see Batman (not a Pattinson fan) .

I really shouldn’t click on links about books because they always tempt me w/ more purchases. I have to read Homeland Elegies. It pops up everywhere!
